Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti kesan Modul Literasi Awal (Modul Lit-A) terhadap pencapaian kemahiran literasi awal mengikut jantina kanak-kanak. Kajian ini berbentuk kuantitatif yang menggunakan kaedah kuasi eksperimen terhadap 56 orang kanak-kanak berumur 3+ hingga 4+ tahun sebagai sampel kajian. Kanak-kanak tersebut dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan rawatan iaitu 30 orang bagi kumpulan rawatan lelaki, dan 26 orang bagi kumpulan rawatan perempuan. Modul Lit-A dijadikan sebagai intervensi terhadap kedua-dua kumpulan rawatan selama sembilan minggu. Pengkaji menggunakan Instrumen Literasi Awal (Instrumen Lit-A) untuk mengukur pencapaian kemahiran literasi awal kanak-kanak semasa praujian dan pascaujian dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Ujian ANCOVA. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan dengan mengawal faktor skor min praujian kemahiran literasi awal; tidak terdapat perbezaan skor min pascaujian kemahiran literasi awal antara kumpulan rawatan lelaki dengan kumpulan rawatan perempuan [F(1, 53) = 0.32, p = 0.57 > 0.05]. Ini bermakna, Modul Lit-A mempunyai kesan yang sama terhadap pencapaian kemahiran literasi awal bagi kanak-kanak lelaki dan kanak-kanak perempuan. Kajian ini menjelaskan jantina tidak mempengaruhi pencapaian kemahiran literasi awal kanak-kanak. Justeru, Modul Lit-A sesuai dijalankan terhadap kanak-kanak lelaki dan kanak-kanak perempuan untuk membantu mereka menguasai kemahiran literasi awal dengan baik.
